{"id":315,"date":"2018-12-03T16:23:05","date_gmt":"2018-12-03T16:23:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jmrowe.com\/blog\/?p=315"},"modified":"2018-12-03T16:23:57","modified_gmt":"2018-12-03T16:23:57","slug":"connecting-a-domain-to-hosting-that-are-on-different-providers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jmrowe.com\/blog\/connecting-a-domain-to-hosting-that-are-on-different-providers\/","title":{"rendered":"Connecting a Domain to hosting that are on different providers."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This applies when Domain and Hosting are provided by two different service providers ( i.e. GoDaddy hosting and Namecheap domain )<\/p>\n<p>3 pieces of information are needed from the HOSTING to be put in to the settings on the DOMAIN service provider:<br \/>\nnameserver1 address<br \/>\nnameserver2 address<br \/>\nhost IP<\/p>\n<p>The nameserver addresses get put in to the nameserver fields<br \/>\nThe host IP is used for the A record.
